Welcome to Hermanus Surf Hostel, surf school and surf camp. Nestled in the heart of South Africa's stunning coastline, we’re not just a place to crash; we’re a lifestyle. Surf, sleep, repeat – it’s that simple!

At Hermanus, we believe in good vibes only. Our hostel is a melting pot of cultures, laughter, and unforgettable memories. So grab your board, kick back with a cold beer, and let’s get some epic waves together!

We supply all the gear , wetsuits and surfboards to our valued guests. Our fully licenced hostel accomodation is just a short walk to the surf school where we meet in the mornings for a full day of surf and adventure !

Surf Hostel FAQs

We have everything from surfboards to Wi-Fi!  Yoga mats, gym equipment, guitars, BBQ (braai) wood and facilities, free bike rentals and  full kitchen available for cooking. There is also a natural sea swimming pool at the end of our road where you can watch the whales while swimming and have a cocktail/beer at the beach bar . The hostel  situated on Marine drive is just a short walk to the surf school .

Yes, we serve a hearty breakfast daily!  Filter coffee, museli, bread, cheese, local fruits, yogurt and smoothies !

yes ! we have recently purchased brand new wetsuits and surfboards for the 2024/2025 surf season here in Hermanus. We have a selection of over 50 boards and wetsuits for our valued guests.

We have a 24 hour check in time available.

Yes ! we have a 24 hour surf shuttle available to fetch you from Cape Town international airport. We are approx an hour drive from the airport.
